Danielle, a senior
righthander at Seymour High, pitched a perfect game to give the undefeated
Wildcats the Class M championship, their third straight state softball title.
She was 26-0 this season and 50-0 for her high school career. This year she
threw 24 shutouts, including six perfect games, and had an 0.17 ERA.

Roger, a senior
defender at Thomas Dale High, led the Knights to two consecutive 24-0 seasons
and back-to-back Virginia Group AAA championships. He had 33 career goals,
including 12 game-winning shots, and was named Central District and Central
Region player of the year.

Track and Field
Grigsby, a senior
at Carthage College, won the 100-meter high hurdles and the 400-meter
intermediate hurdles at the NCAA Division III championships. She ended her
college career with eight national titles-the two above, two more for 100-meter
high hurdles, three for indoor 55-meter high hurdles and one as a member of a
400-meter relay team.
