To Be Real
I suspect in 10
years people will look back at their fantasy football involvement with the same
ruefulness with which people look back at their disco days.

Is your July 24

Donovan McNabb at
14 in your quarterback rankings? Below Kurt Warner (6), Drew Bledsoe (7) and
David Carr (13)? McNabb is a proven fantasy commodity, especially with the
pass-happy Andy Reid calling the plays. Also, McNabb slimmed down this past
off-season; he has more drive to succeed (to prove that he can win without
Terrell Owens); and despite what the "experts" might say, the Eagles
have adequate receivers.

Greenfeld wrote an excellent article about Terrell Owens (Hey, T.O., Are You
Ready for Some Football?, July 24). But I have to ask about the line "don't
ever question his desire." Did Greenfeld speak to any 49ers fans? Because
I've spoken to plenty of them who question Owens's desire. They say he quit
trying when he wanted a trade; many used the phrase alligator arms in
discussing his performance late in games or when he got tired. He's a great
player, but his desire isn't above reproach.
