What was your welcome-to-the-big-leagues moment?
Hitting the last homer at the old Busch Stadium [as a September call-up] last year. I didn't get any hits there before that. So, when I finally hit it, I said, "Holy cow."
Most embarrassing moment?
When I dropped my first pop-up, playing leftfield in Colorado. Right to me, and I goofed it. It was the easiest fly ball ever.
One thing about being a major leaguer that fans don't think about?
It's stressful, because if you don't perform, you're gone.
If I were commissioner for a day, I'd ...
eliminate the DH. The National League's a way better game. There's more strategy by the managers, and it's a lot more fun. If you're a bench player, you've constantly got to be ready. In the AL, if you're not starting, it's just boring.
If I weren't playing baseball, I'd ...
be in trouble. I didn't go to [college]. I kind of sold out going for this.
