What was your welcome-to-the-NFL moment?
My first preseason game, in 1997, I didn't know the plays. [Fellow lineman] Pete Kendall made a call where I was supposed to pop out, but I stayed on the end and the quarterback got sacked. You don't want to give up a sack your first time on the field.

Your most embarrassing moment?
My rookie year I was getting ready to run onto the field, and I fell--bam! When I got to the huddle, they laughed and said, "Don't be nervous." I said, "I'm not. I just stepped on my foot."

Your favorite off-day activity?
I made a deal with my wife, Valeria, that that's the day for her. We go out to lunch and go to a movie. That's the best time of the week.

If I weren't in the NFL, I'd be ...
working in the local lumberyard.

LAST WEEK
With free time during bye week, the 6'5", 315-pounder picked up his twins, Waleria and Walterius, 5, from school.

THIS WEEK
Seahawks are in Arizona. Jones, who has missed just two games in the last eight years, is 5-1 against the Cards.
