Late in the afternoon following his downhill victory, Miller walked into the lobby of the U.S. team's hotel. First to greet him was Marolt, who extended his right hand and gripped Miller's shoulder with his meaty left hand as the skier laughed and accepted congratulations from his tormentor. It was almost touching.
