Steeler Nation was in full throat at Detroit's Ford Field, savoring every
moment of Super Bowl XL and its not-so-terrible outcome, as the Steel City
heroes finally won one for the thumb.
Could he win the big one? That question has followed coach Bill Cowher for most
of his 14-year career. It was answered when his Steelers (here, warming up for
Super Bowl XL) won 21-10.
THE BUS STOPS HERE
His Super Bowl stats were merely mortal (14 carries for 43 yards), but the
now-retired Jerome Bettis (36) completed his 13-year NFL journey by winning a
title. Next stop? The Hall of Fame.
