Though his injured right knee made it difficult even to walk during the 2002 Stanley Cup finals, Yzerman still took time to practice his shot. He would finish second in playoff scoring and win his third Cup.
Heading into a playoff game against the Sharks in 1995, Yzerman was the unquestioned leader of the Red Wings. His name, however, was still difficult to spell, as evidenced by the sticks with the pink tape.
