AFTER distinguishing themselves on the field, players and coaches who hope to gain election to one of the most exclusive clubs in sports must pass another formidable challenge. Each year, during the week before the Super Bowl, a group of 39 media members meets to choose the select few who will be given busts in Canton. To be elected, a nominee needs support from at least 80% of the panel, which includes a representative from each NFL city. The process can be provincial and political, but when all the arguing is done, between three and six enshrinees are chosen, and the rest must wait till next year. Here is the complete list of the 235 Pro Football Hall of Famers.
