BEN OBOMANU, Seahawks WR
Auburn Career: 2002-05
Iron Bowl Record: 4-0
Hometown: Selma, Ala.

"You're not just playing for yourself, your team or even your school. You're playing for families. There's a lot of pride behind that football game. A lot of households get broken up, people get fired from jobs. All sorts of things happen from that football game. With all the things surrounding it, I think players from both teams step it up five or six notches."

DESHEA TOWNSEND, Steelers CB
Alabama Career: 1994-97
Iron Bowl Record: 2-2
Hometown: Batesville, Miss.

"If you were 1-11 and the other team was 11-1, if you won that game, your coach might get another year coaching. Whoever won that game had the bragging rights. We knew nothing else mattered than that game."

FRED BEASLEY, Dolphins FB
Auburn Career: 1994-97
Iron Bowl Record: 2-2
Hometown: Montgomery, Ala.

"Oh, man, I almost lost a job [over his college choice]. It was at Bruno's, a grocery store [in Montgomery]. The manager was telling me, 'You're going to go to Alabama,' and I was like, Yeah, we're going to be all right. After I chose Auburn, he literally wouldn't speak to me for the whole rest of the time I worked there."
