inaugural class. The 54 legends and pioneers of college football who were in
that group also included Walter Camp, Red Grange and Jim Thorpe.
ALUMNI of Notre Dame in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, tied with USC for the
most from any college. The ND inductees are Nick Buoniconti, Dave Casper,
George Connor, Paul Hornung, Earl (Curly) Lambeau, Wayne Millner, Joe Montana,
Alan Page and George Trafton.

QUARTERBACKS who have led the Irish in passing in all four of their collegiate
seasons. Steve Beuerlein passed for 6,527 yards and 27 touchdowns from 1983
through '86, and Ron Powlus had 7,602 yards and 52 TDs from '94 through
VICTORIES over Notre Dame by Southern California, the most of any opponent. In
turn the Irish have beaten the Trojans 42 times.
