No light reading for this former engineering student: Michelle is immersed in one book on reincarnation and another on Julius Caesar. "I have a thirst for learning," she says. "I go to a museum, and I want to read everything about the painters."

Though she lives in New York City, Fernanda's heart is in Florianopolis, which lies south of São Paulo, Brazil, and has lakes, sand dunes and tiny islands. "It has 42 beaches--can you believe it?" says Fernanda. "It's Paradise."

Her friends call her Shak, though no one will mistake this Bahamian for the Big Guy in Miami. You can also see this actress-model in the movie Behind the Smile, which opens later this year.

How does a model stay fit? The beautiful game, of course. Michelle, our Fresh Face winner in '04, plays on a coed soccer team in L.A. every Sunday. "Gotta use these long legs for something," she says.

What's it like being on the cover of the Swimsuit Issue? "Oh, my God, for me this is it!" says Carolyn. "I've done the fashion campaigns and the cosmetic contracts, but this is reaching out to every demographic possible. Getting the cover makes me feel like the luckiest girl in the world."

In Igbo, a language spoken in Oluchi's native Nigeria, her first name means "work of God." Pretty prescient, wouldn't you say?

Sure, it's nice to be on the cover of Harper's Bazaar and Elle. But how many people can point to their photo on the wall of Emma's Bar in River Falls, Wis.? That's where you might find this ardent Packers fan when she's home for a visit.

Here comes the bride: Jessica, who was born in Antwerp, Belgium, is getting married in her hometown in August, but don't book your flight just yet. "I want to have a big wedding, but the arranging is so hard," she says. "Maybe we'll just go to Las Vegas."
