LENORE SHIMKUS
MAHANOY CITY, PA.

SUZANNE SHIMKUS
Lenore and Suzanne, 17-year-old twins, have scored 1,406 and 2,045 career points, respectively, while leading the Class AA Marian Catholic High girls' basketball team to a four-year record of 105-17. Undefeated in 28 games this season, the Fillies beat defending state AA champ Susquehanna Township in preseason play. Suzanne, a 5'11" center, and Lenore, a 5'7" guard, have been joined in the Marian starting lineup this season by their sister Barbara, a 5'11" sophomore forward.

HOLLY GERVAIS
CORVALLIS, MONT.
Holly, 11, rode her 14-year-old Arabian stallion. Tezero, in 14 races over a total of 1,010 miles of mountainous terrain to earn a total of 2,969.5 points and win the American Endurance Ride Conference junior national title for 1979.

TED BERGQUIST
WAYZATA, MINN.
Bergquist, 68, a business executive, bowled a perfect game of 300 points, certified by the American Bowling Congress, at the Minneapolis Athletic Club. Bergquist, who has a 193 average, has rolled five three-game series of more than 700.

GEORGE NICHOLAS
DAYTON
George, a Meadowdale High junior, holds three AAU national 14-15 age-group track and field titles. At the nationals in Omaha, he won the 1,500 (4:02.5) and the 3,000 (8:35.1). He also won the cross-country championship at Raleigh, N.C.

JOE DURSO
BROOKLYN
Durso, 25, a recent graduate of Brooklyn College, defeated Dr. Sorrel Feldman 25-20 in the singles and, with Al Apuzzi, also won the doubles title in the National Invitational One-Wall Handball Tournament in Spring Valley, N.Y.
