BILL SCHERR

Jim and Bill, 18-year-old identical twins, led the Mobridge High wrestling team to a 14-1 record and its first state Class B championship. Competing in the 185-pound division, Bill had a 29-0 record, including a victory in the Class B title match. He won the Class A championship in 1979. Jim, 28-1 for the Tigers this season, was the 167-pound Class B titlist. In leading Mobridge to a 40—11 record over four seasons, the Scherrs had a combined 188-31 record in dual-meet competition.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA
Eden, 26, a painting contractor, won the Golden Gloves 178-pound national boxing title at Shreveport, La., scoring two first-round knockouts and three unanimous decisions. He has captured seven state AAU and Golden Gloves titles.

DENNIS GREEN
IDALOU, TEXAS
Dennis, a senior at Idalou High, high-jumped 7'1�"—only� of an inch short of the state high school record set in 1978—at a meet in San Angelo, Texas. A tight end, he will attend West Texas State on a football and track scholarship.

Regina, 17, and Shirleen, 18, senior co-captains of the Parkton High basketball team, paced the Bruinettes to a 28-0 record and the state girls' 1-A championship. Miller, a guard, had 22.5 points, 12.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game, while Jacobs, a forward, averaged 14.2 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists. In the state title game, a 59-58 victory over Princeton, Miller scored 24 points, including the game-winning free throw with no time left, and Jacobs led the team with 26.
