Clinton, 20, the two-time national men's roller figure skating champion, rallied with an errorless performance in the final compulsory figure to upset defending champion Michele Biserni of Italy and win the world title, in Bogot�, Colombia.

Kristin, a Wheeling High junior, became the first girl to win back-to-back races at the state high school swimming championships. In the space of just 10 minutes she won both the 100-yard butterfly (56:63) and the 100 freestyle (52:27).

PEABODY, MASS.
Mike, a junior right wing for the Peabody High hockey team, scored eight goals in a 12-8 win over Maiden High to set a single-game scoring record for the Greater Boston League. He leads the team with 21 goals and 16 assists in 20 games.

SAN DIEGO
Terri, a 6'2�" senior forward for Point Loma High, is the first schoolgirl to collect 2,000 rebounds, with 2,130 in 106 games. This season she has 690 in 26 games, breaking Cheryl Miller's national record of 656, set in 1982.

DWIGHT REGELMAN
HAGER CITY, WIS.
Regelman, a 34-year-old tannery worker, set a world record for snowmobiles in a quarter-mile run. Driving a one-of-a-kind snowmobile with a 1,500-plus hp engine, he reached 163.018 mph on Green Lake in Spicer, Minn.
