Home runs hit by
K.C. outfielders last season, the lowest total by a major league outfield in
the last 15 seasons. New rightfielder Jose Guillen slugged 23 by himself last
year while playing half his games in the Mariners' cavernous Safeco Field.
Having belted at least 23 homers in four of the past five seasons, he
gives the Royals their first true outfield power threat since Carlos Beltran
was traded in 2004.
