"This," Marsh said, "was a case of an inexperienced hunter." A young boy had been into the store the day before asking about .35 Winchester cartridges. He just wanted to be sure he could get ammunition for the rifle he was thinking of picking up. It suddenly occurred to Marsh that he might step home and check his own gun rack.

"Sure enough," he said, "my .35 Winchester was gone." Once again, Marsh set out to get his man.
