KOBE BRYANT was under more scrutiny than usual when the Lakers beat the Spurs 106--85 on April 13. Inspired by a 2006 day-in-the-life documentary on Zindine Zidane, director and Knicks fanatic Spike Lee—who apparently wanted to see some good hoops for a change—used 18 cameras to film Bryant's every move on and off the court. Lee is making the movie, which has Bryant's blessing, for ESPN films.
