Gail Sontgerath, of West Palm Beach, Fla., women's national gymnastics champion competing in women's Olympic gymnastic trials at West Chester (Pa.) State College, scored 149.432 out of possible 160 points, finished first among six qualifiers.

Paul Boehm, 15, of Houston won two singles titles at the American Amateur Skating Championships in Little Rock, Ark., joined Pamela Cornwall of Pasadena, Texas to win two doubles, became third roller skater in event's 23 years to achieve grand slam.

Judy Rand of Aurora, Ohio, competing in Women's Western Junior Golf Championship at Glen Flora C.C. in Waukegan, Ill., shot hole-in-one in quarter-finals on par-3 11th, went on to finals before bowing 5 and 4 to Sharon Fladoos of Dubuque, Iowa.

Dave Yaeger of Anoka, Minn., won World 20 Gauge Professional Skeet Championship at London Bridge, Va. when he shot 98 out of 100 targets in main event, then beat Wilbur Cox of Wilmington, Del. and Jack Elliott of Chicago in shootoff.

Ann Clark, a Cincinnati housewife who shoots a bow longer than her height (4 feet 11 inches), won National Archery Association's women's target championship at Oxford, Ohio with record-breaking 3,485 points, regained title she had first won in 1955.
