T.S. Eliot in his play The Cocktail Party said that "half of the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important." Nowhere is this better illustrated than in Rick Telander's article Senseless (May 14).
WILL TO WIN Will Clark's look of determination (Will Power, May 28) pales somewhat when compared with that of Hank Bauer "glaring murderously" at the pitcher in a strikingly similar shot in your issue of Oct. 1, 1956. Also, check out Mickey Mantle in the same story in that issue looking exactly the way a lefthanded hitter should look.
