Ronda, 13, rolled a 713 series to set a state bowling record in the girls' junior division (ages 12 to 14). Her total, which included games of 278,212 and 223, eclipsed the mark of 699 by Gina Porros of Milwaukee in 1986. Ronda's average is 183.

SHELBYVILLE, TENN.
Tiffany, a 5'7" junior guard, scored 28 points as she paced 35-0 Shelbyville-Central High to its second straight Class AAA girls' state basketball championship, with a 56-50 win over Glencliff High. She averaged 28 points this season.

Jason and David, identical twins and eighth-graders, led Garland Christian Academy to football (10-0) and basketball (18-1) middle-school district championships. Jason, a tailback, rushed for 1,111 yards and 10 touchdowns and threw six TD passes. On the court, where he played guard, he shot 56% and averaged 17 points and 3.1 assists a game. David, a quarterback, threw for 1,498 yards and 19 touchdowns and then, as a basketball guard, shot 62% from the field and averaged 13.4 points and 3.6 assists.

KATE DRUMMOND
CONWAY, N.H.
Kate, a junior at Kennett High, defeated 79 girls from eight states to win the slalom, grand slalom and overall combined titles and pace the New Hampshire girls' all-state team to its first eastern high school Alpine ski championship.
