In and Out
The NHL plays its 2004 All-Star Game on Feb. 8 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. Last year's MVP, Dany Heatley of the Thrashers, won't participate—he has been out the entire season following his tragic auto accident in September—but it's not unusual for an MVP to miss the following year's game. Who was the last All-Star MVP to play in the next game?

a. 2000 MVP Pavel Bure
b. 2002 MVP Eric Daze
c. 2001 MVP Bill Guerin
d. 1997 MVP Mark Recchi

Howe about That?
Gordie Howe, who appeared in a record 23 All-Star Games, had two goals and two assists in 1965, the one time he won MVP. Who has skated in the most All-Star Games without being designated Most Valuable Player?

Who Am I?
In my 16 NHL seasons I played in 12 All-Star Games. I was named MVP of the game in 1970 and '71, making me the only back-to-back All-Star MVP. My son has played in the game eight times and was the MVP in '92. Can you guess my identity?

Call to Order
Since 1962 the All-Star MVP has been awarded to players representing 16 teams. Place these teams in order of the number of times their players have won it.

a. Boston Bruins
b. Edmonton Oilers
c. Montreal Canadiens
d. Pittsburgh Penguins
