TW: I've only
seen a highlight package from it. It's frustrating for me to watch because I
didn't realize I was that hurt. You're in the moment.
DP: At the U.S.
Open someone told me that if you weren't in contention, you probably weren't
going to try to play on Saturday or Sunday. Any truth to that?
TW: That is
completely false.
DP: Best and
worst day since the U.S. Open?
TW: Probably the
worst day was right after the procedure, just the uncomfortableness of the
whole thing. Best day is probably every day I get to spend with [14-month-old
daughter] Sam and watch her grow. And she's making fun of me because she's
actually running faster than me and always looking back to see if I'm still
coming.
DP: What part of
fatherhood is better than you thought it was going to be?
TW: True
love.
DP: She looks at
you and you know that...?
TW: Yes, that's
it.
DP: Best win of
your career?
