DeBoer, a junior at Grand Valley State who received a kidney transplant in
2003, was the outstanding male athlete of the U.S. Transplant Games. A member
of Team Michigan, he won gold in three swimming races, silver in six events
including basketball and cycling, and bronze in the 5K run.

Bayside High, won four straight Metropolitan PGA Junior events, including the
New York City championship, shooting a two-day, even-par 146 at the Pelham Bay
Golf Course. She was third at the Met PGA Tournament of Champions.

Onyeador, a freshman forward at Georgetown, set Virginia all-divisions career
records of 127 goals and 290 points (he had 36 assists) at Potomac Falls High.
He was Gatorade's state player of the year as a junior, when he had a
school-record 42 goals.

Spencer, a freshman at McKendree, was a four-time Class A champion in the 100
meters and a two-time winner in the 200 while running at Pinckneyville High.
She was unbeaten in the 100 during high school and holds the 100 state meet
record (12.13 seconds); her personal best is 11.74.
