WHEN EX-NBA player John Amaechi came out of the closet in 2007, Sixers forward Shavlik Randolph said a gay teammate "would create a little awkwardness." He's probably steering clear of Shirts & Skins, a new Logo reality series about a gay hoops team in San Francisco. The Rockdogs live in a converted firehouse and huddle for dramatic on-camera confessionals; one follows a debate about whether homosexuality is chosen or genetically ordained. But the Rockdogs have talent, and the show's basketball action is strong. On and off the court someone like Randolph could learn a few things from Shirts.
