DR. Z'S Pick of the Week
Paul Zimmerman
November 03, 2008
On Sunday two NFC
heavyweights were severely tested and survived. Now they'll face each other in
yet another one of their division slugfests. If the Cowboys hope to beat the
Giants at the Meadowlands, they'll have do it with the punishing gallops of
Marion Barber and with their defense. New York will bring ferocious pressure on
Brad Johnson, just as it did on Pittsburgh's Ben Roethlisberger. That's also
what the Dallas rush did to Tampa Bay. People who are only too eager to write
finis to the Cowboys' year should take note of the way they choked off the
Bucs' offense. Yes, it will be a brawl. Nothing will come easy for Eli Manning
(above), but Johnson will have it even harder. The Giants take a low scorer,
unless turnovers artificially pump up the point total.
