To find the most improved PGA Tour players of 2008, as well as those who fell the furthest in a year's time, we calculated a Plus/Minus number by totaling the number of places a pro moved up or down the money list and the number of places he moved up or down the All-Around statistical ranking.

Better putting (from 156th to 65th), scrambling (176th to 46th) and 7.6 more yards off the tee led to greatly improved scoring—from 71.58 (166th) to 69.98 (13th).
2. Chad Campbell +198

A proven ball striker, Campbell leaped from 162nd to 42nd in putting, which shaved more than a stroke (1.18) off his scoring average.

The Tour leader in putting (from 66th) also made big strides in greens in regulation (from 138th to 33rd), ball striking (172nd to 70th) and birdie average (103rd to 3rd).
