Peter King's Pick of the Week

December 22, 2008
Not even a month ago, this Sunday night's game between the Panthers and the Giants looked like a gimme for the New Yorkers. Carolina was struggling to beat the likes of the Raiders and the Lions; the Giants were steamrolling everyone. As the playoffs near, however, Eli Manning (above) & Co. have far more flaws than the Panthers. When they meet in the Meadowlands, look for the reborn DeAngelo Williams and rookie power back Jonathan Stewart to reprise their roles of the last two weeks, when they've been the best one-two rushing punch in football. I like Carolina to grind out a low-scoring win, because I just don't think the battered Giants can take the Panthers' best punch right now.
