DP: Did you play basketball in high school?
CR: Freshman year, then I got sidetracked into soccer.
DP: Were you Beckham before Beckham?
CR: I could bend the ball. Unintentionally, but I could bend it.
DP: If you had gone to your dad—a baseball lifer—and said, "I'm going to go play soccer in Europe...."
