THE JOY OF SIX
Confetti and streamers rained down from the rafters of the Scottrade Center in St. Louis moments after UConn (39-0) routed Louisville to claim the program's sixth national title and a third undefeated season. The following day the Huskies were back in Gampel Pavilion for a rally in their honor.

OVER THE TOP
"You can't be a great player unless you play great in this game right here," Geno Auriemma told Tina Charles (second from left) before the 76-54 final win over Louisville. The 6' 4" center exceeded her coach's expectations, scoring 25 points and grabbing 19 boards to earn Final Four Most Outstanding Player honors.

TRAVELING COACH
The national champion Huskies got carried away with coach Geno Auriemma after the title game, but who could blame them? Under Auriemma, who earned his sixth Naismith Coach of the Year award in 2009, UConn beat every opponent by at least 10 points, a first in college basketball, men's or women's.
