Chalonda Goodman NEWNAN, GA. > Track and Field Chalonda, a senior at Newnan High, swept the 100- and 200-meter dashes at the Georgia Class 5A meet for the fourth year in a row. She has run the fastest high school 200 in the nation this season (23.32) and the second-best 100 (11.30), and she still holds the state 5A meet record for the fastest 100 (11.45). Chalonda has signed with Texas.

Drew Hedman
REDDING, CALIF. > Baseball
Hedman, a senior first baseman at Pomona College, led NCAA Division III in home runs (24), RBIs (87), slugging (.994) and total bases (175). He was named Division III hitter of the year by college baseball writers after helping the Sagehens—whose players come from Pomona and Pitzer colleges—reach the NCAA West Regional.

Rachel Quon
LAKE FOREST, ILL. > Soccer
Rachel, a senior midfielder-defender at Lake Forest High, was named Gatorade National Girls Soccer Player of the Year for 2008--09. Last fall she was a starter on the under-17 women's national team, which won a silver medal at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup. Rachel has signed with Stanford.

Matt Hill
BRIGHTS GROVE, ONT. > Golf
Hill, a sophomore at N.C. State, won the NCAA Division I championship by two strokes, finishing six under par after shooting three rounds of 69. He is a PING All-America selection and is fourth in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. His eight tournament wins in 2008--09 were the most in Atlantic Coast Conference history.

Monique Riddick
EDISON, N.J. > Track and Field
Riddick, a sophomore at Montclair State, completed a sweep of the indoor and outdoor NCAA Division III shot put titles with a throw of 51'9", more than four feet farther than any other competitor and tops in D-III for 2009. She won seven of eight outdoor meets this year, finishing second in a Division I field at the Penn Relays.

Doug McIver
ALTAMONT, N.Y. > Lacrosse
McIver, a senior at Le Moyne College, won the Ensign C. Markland Kelly Jr. Award, given to the nation's most outstanding goalie. He led NCAA Division II in goals-against average (3.96) and save percentage (.681), and helped the Dolphins reach the D-II title game. McIver held opponents to five or fewer goals in 15 of 17 games.
