DRIVE AT YOUR OWN RISK

The Black course at Long Island's Bethpage State Park, 30 miles from the heart of New York City, has been stretched to 7,445 yards—231 more than in 2002, when the U.S. Open was last played there. Par, however, will remain at 70. The Open will most likely be won or lost on the four finishing holes: three brutish par-4s (pictured is the 411-yard 18th) and one tough par-3, the 207-yard 17th.
