WHAT A RIVAL COACH SAYS

"Daunte Culpepper [below] will open the season as the starter, but I truly believe that Matthew Stafford will be playing by midseason. When a guy is making the big money, there's too much riding on him.... Kevin Smith has great vision and can break tackles. You will see a smarter back who really understands how he fits in the offense. He'll be more productive.... Maurice Morris is not a guy a team can play the whole game. But on a team that was 0-16, I can't help but think that he'll have some role.... Calvin Johnson is a beast. After Roy Williams was traded, you saw Johnson become more and more the focus of the offense. He's going to be formidable this year.... Brandon Pettigrew starts from Day One. He's going to be an Antonio Gates type of player, the kind of guy who will make an immediate impact."
