ENEMY LINES
WHAT A RIVAL COACH SAYS

"Pat Shurmur is a West Coast system guy, so it will be a drastic change. I think the change will help Marc Bulger [below] because he's not a guy who handles the rush well, and the West Coast is a quick-rhythm passing game, so if he learns to get it out on time, he'll be under less duress.... They'll still have to be led by Steven Jackson, who is built like a superhero. But as big and tough as he is, he has not been durable. He has missed four games in each of the past two years.... The other backs are really pedestrian. You don't want to go there.... I don't know if Donnie Avery will be an elite receiver, but he'll be close.... The guy who will benefit the most in the new offense is Keenan Burton. He'll be the possession guy you need in a West Coast offense.... Randy McMichael has inconsistent hands, but he'll do O.K."
