Britt amassed more than 3,000 yards in three seasons at Rutgers. He has a great combination of size and speed, but that doesn't translate into immediate success in the NFL or in fantasy. With Justin Gage and free agent Nate Washington ahead of him on the depth chart and hamstring issues bothering Britt during OTAs, it should take time for him to become a factor.

49ERS
AGE: 24
BYE WEEK: 6
AUCTION: $0

This '07 third-rounder has a golden opportunity: He took over the Niners' No. 3 spot at midseason last year, and since then No. 1 (Isaac Bruce) contemplated retirement and hasn't gotten any younger, and No. 2 (Bryant Johnson) split for Detroit. So Hill ran with the A Team in May. But consider that a) he plays for the 49ers, and b) they just drafted a franchise WR.

96 Brandon JONES
49ERS
AGE: 26
BYE WEEK: 6
AUCTION: $0

Word out of the Bay is that not everyone on staff was as excited as coach Mike Singletary about the free-agent signing of Jones, who peaked with 41 catches in his fourth year with Tennessee. That leaves us a tad worried about whether he'll win a job that is his for the taking. In off-season workouts he lined up in Isaac Bruce's spot, the slot. If he can remain there, he's a wild card worth playing.

97 Bobby WADE
VIKINGS
AGE: 28
BYE WEEK: 9
AUCTION: $0

He battled through leg problems to become the most consistent receiving option on a playoff team last year, so that has to be worth something. Or not. Bernard Berrian should enter '09 running after a slow start last season that had a lot to do with turf toe and his learning a new offense. That makes Wade the No. 2. And now there's the emerging Sidney Rice. Can you say No. 3?

98 Josh REED
BILLS
AGE: 29
BYE WEEK: 9
AUCTION: $0

The signing of Terrell Owens spells doom for Reed, whose fantasy value was already on life support. He'll move to the slot, and if he wins the job over Roscoe Parrish, he could see short-yardage passes as defenses focus on T.O. and Lee Evans. But Reed will be hard-pressed to log a third consecutive season of 50 completions and 500 yards. You can do better elsewhere.
