Edward, a sophomore at Lester B. Pearson High, won the boys U-16 singles title at the Rogers Junior National Championships, taking the final match in three sets. Earlier this year Tennis Canada honored him as the outstanding junior male athlete of the year. He is currently a member of Canada's Junior Davis Cup team.

Brecca Wahlund

MINOT, N.D. > Cross-country

Brecca, a senior at Minot High, won the Becki Wells Invite (14:57.04) by 30 seconds, then won the Minot Invitational (14:41.79). She was ranked No. 1 in the state's most recent Division A coaches' poll. As a junior Brecca won the West region cross-country title and took third at the state meet. She also won the 3,200-meter race at the Division A state track meet.
