T.J.

High-priced Seahawks receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh keeps carping that he wants the ball. But after just four catches for 34 yards in a loss to Arizona, he'd slipped to 25th in receiving yards.

TYNAN

The Yanks have quit famous seventh-inning tenor Ronan Tynan for making an anti-Semitic remark. He apologized. He gave money to charity. But he said what he said, and now he's been silenced.

LOVE

Bummed out. T-Wolves forward Kevin Love broke his hand going for a board (in the preseason, ugh!) and is out till December. Love on the rebound: "Sometimes things don't go your way."
