Teen sensation Gregor Schlierenzauer of Austria soared off the ramp at Innsbruck on Jan. 4 during the Four Hills tournament, which combined four World Cup events over 10 days. Schlierenzauer, who turned 19 on Jan. 7, came in third in the tournament but went on to win the 2008-09 World Cup. Through Dec. 3 he had won 29 World Cup events and was considered a favorite to win the ski jumping gold medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
