While I was speaking I caught Ueberroth's eye, and he nodded approvingly. Returning to my seat, Roberts offered a hearty handshake and whispered, "Well done."
I was aware of something he had once told The Wall Street Journal: "Golf is the best game ever invented by man. It treats everyone as an equal, and whatever you do well or poorly you've done yourself."
