After introducing the NHL's first curved blade, which he and Stan Mikita codesigned, Hull became the first player to break the 50-goal plateau when he netted 54 in 1965-66, the most goals in a season during the Original Six era.
1958-59 TO 1979-80
Only 19th-century baseball star Cap Anson of the Cubs played as many seasons for a Windy City team as the 22 that Mikita played as a Hawk. Mikita's number 21 was the first to be raised to the Chicago Stadium rafters.
