In terms of accuracy, 2009 proved to be a career year for the too-often shaky Janikowski. And in terms of leg strength, few kickers in the league performed as well (15 of 18 from 40-plus yards). But in fantasy play, accuracy means little without opportunity, and the woeful Raiders simply do not put their kicker into enough scoring situations for him to have much relevance.
20 Ryan SUCCOP CHIEFS
BYE WEEK: 4
After bumping Connor Barth from Kansas City's kicking job before the start of 2009, the rookie Succop performed better than anyone could have expected, given his accuracy issues in college. He has excellent leg strength, and unlike last year, the Chiefs will enter camp without the worry of a competition for the kicking job. Succop's inexperience remains the main reason for caution.
