K: 25 Player Breakdowns

AUCTION: $2

His value derives not just from his skill but also from his team, which lives on the opponents' side of the field. No kicker made more field goals in 2009, and only one made more extra points. Don't be bothered that Kaeding choked in the playoffs (he missed all three field goal attempts); similar troubles earlier in his career have not carried over and hurt his regular-season performance.

2 David AKERS EAGLES

AGE: 35

BYE WEEK: 8

AUCTION: $2

One of just three Eagles over the age of 30 to survive the off-season youth movement, Akers ranked second in the NFL in scoring for the second straight season and tied Jay Feely for the lead with 11 field goals of 40 to 49 yards. (He missed just twice from that distance.) The quarterback switch to Kevin Kolb should mean a less efficient offense and more kicks for Akers.

3 Garrett HARTLEY SAINTS

AGE: 24

BYE WEEK: 10
