Komori, in his 17th year as the boys' tennis coach at Punahou School, led the team to a seven-point victory over second-place Kalani at the state championships to take the program's 20th straight title, breaking the national high school tennis record held by Englewood (Colo.) since 1990. Bernard Gusman led the Punahou girls' team to its eighth straight title.

Olivia Baker

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. > Track and Field

Olivia, an eighth-grader at South Orange Middle School, won the youth girls' long jump (16' 7") as well as the 400 (55.98) and 800 meters (2:23.38) at the USA Track & Field New Jersey championships. She also anchored the winning 4 × 400-meter relay team (4:01.69). In March she set a meet record in the junior high 400 at the National Scholastic Indoor Championships (57.01).
