Break up college football's second tier! Already this season, upstart FCS teams have beaten their allegedly bigger FBS brethren six times, two more than in all of '09. Last Saturday alone, South Dakota toppled Minnesota 41--38 and James Madison shocked Virginia Tech 21--16.
Hail these hirsute heroes: Long-tressed Tom Brady tossed for three TDs in a win over Cincy (page 40); the Saints' Tracy Porter and the Bears' Devin Hester won with new spiderweb and DA HESS designs on their domes; and ESPN's Chris Berman tabbed the Saints while rocking a sick handlebar 'stache.
The Titans' Nate Washington hauled in a 56-yard TD pass; the Skins won at home for the first time since Week 10 of '09; and the Washington Huskies saw a second Heisman contender join QB Jake Locker—WR Jermaine Kearse (right), whose 179 yards, nine catches and three TDs were all Week 2 FBS highs.
Ricky Hatton was outed by the News of the World, which ran video of the recently retired British boxer (left) snorting what appears to be cocaine; and Wayne Rooney, pride of the pitch for Man U, was held out of a game against Everton to avoid the heckling over his latest alleged extramarital affair.
