Malcolm, a senior running back at Byron P. Steele High, rushed for 217 yards and two scores, including a 95-yard touchdown, to help the Knights defeat Roosevelt High 33--13. As of Sunday, Brown led his district in rushing (2,079 yards on 229 carries), touchdowns (24) and total points (144), and the Knights had advanced to the third round of the playoffs in their first year as a 5A team.

O'Donnell, a senior attacker at Maryland, was named tournament MVP after leading the Terps to their third straight ACC title, defeating North Carolina 5--2. Maryland went on to win the NCAA championship on Sunday. O'Donnell, a member of the U.S. national team and a three-time All America selection, led the ACC in points with 32 goals and 34 assists.
FLOWER MOUND, TEXAS > Cross-Country
Craig, a senior at Marcus High, defended his title in the 5A state meet with a time of 14:41.51, improving from last year by nearly four seconds. He set course records at five meets, including 14:55.5 in winning the Nike South Invitational for the third straight time. Last year Craig won the Nike Cross Nationals.
