"With a star player some of the other guys get overlooked," said Arizona's Jesse Perry after the regional final. "[Lamb] complements Kemba Walker a lot with his open shots; he drives, and he's very important to that team. He could go for 20 to 25 points quietly, and you wouldn't even know it. He's a game-changer."
Lamb cemented that reputation in the semifinal against Kentucky, going for 12 points, nine rebounds and four assists. His performances—and the stage they were played out on—were a far cry from the barely noticed eight points he had that preseason night against American International.
"I haven't thought about it sinking in yet," he said of how his season turned out. "Right now I'm just having fun playing basketball."
