Kendell, a sophomore at Kell High who holds state records in the 100- and 300-meter hurdles, ran the nation's fastest time this year in the 100 hurdles (13.45), set a high jump meet record (5'10") and won the 300 hurdles at the Volunteer Classic in Knoxville, Tenn. At the New Balance Indoor Nationals in March she won the pentathlon with the event's third-best score (3,792).

Danny, a sophomore at Elmont Memorial High, pitched a no-hitter with 21 strikeouts—the maximum possible—to tie a 42-year-old state record, allowing just two walks in a 12--0 win over Hempstead High. Danny, who won the team's Gold Glove award as a starting shortstop last year, has a 2.56 ERA with 48 strikeouts in 27 innings pitched through week's end.
Annie Kunz
GOLDEN, COLO. > Soccer; Track and Field
Annie, a senior at Wheat Ridge High and two-time all-state selection in soccer and track, had a school record 5'8" high jump at the Jefferson County Relays, then scored a hat trick in a 4--1 soccer win over Evergreen High the same day. In March she was named the Sportswomen of Colorado's all-around athlete; she will compete in both sports at Texas A&M.
