Anna, a sophomore striker at Gate City High, was named the Virginia Gatorade player of the year. She has scored at least three goals in each of her 12 games this season for a total of 25 hat tricks in her 28-game high school career. In March, Anna was named to the U-18 women's national team. Last year she set a state single-season record with 65 goals.

Kyle, a senior at the Texas School for the Deaf, won gold in the 110-meter hurdles (15.15) at the Texas private and parochial school 3A state meet. In April he set a 300-meter hurdles event record at the Berg/Seeger national meet for deaf athletes. Three days later he broke the 300 hurdles school record (39.40), held by his coach, Larry Smith.

Monka, a junior first baseman at Northwestern, reached base in 25 straight at bats over seven games, with seven hits, 17 walks and one hit by pitch. At season's end she held the second highest walk rate in D-I history (1.53 per game), led the nation in on-base-percentage (.707) and had a top 10 batting average (.461) and slugging percentage (.865).
