Open Doctoring

Since 2000 only two courses, Pebble Beach and Torrey Pines, have hosted a major championship and a PGA Tour event in the same year. Predictably, the scoring averages for the majors were significantly higher. Congressional also has been a regular Tour stop, most recently for the AT&T National, but never during the year it has hosted a major.
