Augusta State won its second straight NCAA championship on Sunday by beating in-state rival Georgia 3--2 in the match-play final. Georgia won the title in 2005 and has made it back to the match play round five times since. Still, tiny Augusta State now holds the honor of Best Team from the Peach State. Augusta's real upset came in the semifinals, during which it knocked off Oklahoma State, which was playing on its home course, Karsten Creek in Stillwater. The highlight was Patrick Reed's 8-and-7 takedown of Cowboys star Peter Uihlein, the No. 1--ranked amateur.
