Emily, a senior at Walton High, defeated Norcross High's Cameron Williams (6--3, 6--0) to lead the Lady Raiders to their eighth state title in a row and 147th straight match win, extending the Georgia record for consecutive victories in any sport. An All-America, Emily was undefeated in individual play this year and will compete next year at Alabama.

Thomas, a sophomore at Aloha High, won the Oregon 6A 100-meter title (10.48) and anchored the 4 × 100 relay team to a state-record 41.45 seconds. He broke the 100-meter state record three times this spring and holds the current mark of 10.43. Last fall he led the Warriors to their first football state title and was named Oregon offensive player of the year.
BELLEVUE, WASH. > Rowing
Oberholzer, a senior coxswain at Western Washington, led the women's varsity eight to victory over defending NCAA D-II champion Mercyhurst by two boatlengths at Lake Natoma in Gold River, Calif., to help the Vikings to a seventh consecutive team title. It was the fourth trip to nationals for Oberholzer, who was an All-America selection.
